Sweden

The first Druidlodge in Sweden was chartered in 1904 at Malmoe under the jurisdiction of UAOD Germany. Gustav Smith was the initiator. Additional Lodges followed at Trelleborg (Stella Polaris, 1906) and Malmoe ( Mimer, 1913).

In 1954, 50 years later, UAOD Sweden had already 2500 Brothers working in 40 lodges.

In August 2009, during a congress at Oestersund, Br. Joern Cederberg, President of UAOD Sweden, could proudly announce that 4948 Brothers are working today  in 71 lodges.

In addition, he expressed his hope that during the forthcoming 4 year period 2 additional lodges can be chartered in Finland.

During a meeting in November 2011 UAOD Sweden Grand Lodges were invited to nominate new members for the build-up and development of lodges in Finland.

SGLD had a very successful meeting at Uppsala. 37 Brothers from 10 lodges were introduced during a ceremony led by Br. Björn Cederberg, President of SGLD.
